Southampton are scheduled to host Arsenal in an epic Premier League clash at St. Marys on Sunday, October 23.

The Gunners head into the clash as favourites following their encouraging run of results in the English top flight.

Mikel Arteta have won nine of their 10 Premier League outings so far, with the team unbeaten since they lost at Old Trafford earlier in September.

Their impressive form has them topping the charts with 27 points, a point ahead of second-placed Man City.

However, their trip to Southampton presents the north Londoners with a glorious chance to restore their four-point lead at the top.

Predicted Arsenal XI vs Southampton

Arteta is expected to name a strong team to get the job done in the south Coast as the Spaniard hopes to lead his side to Premier League glory.

Their trip to Southampton comes after getting a triple injury boost in the shape of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Saka limped off in Thursday's 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League but is in line to travel to St. Marys.

Martinelli will also make the trip after initially not "feeling great", while Zinchenko is understood to have made some progress.

Aaron Ramsdale is expected to keep his place in goal, with Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel protecting him in defence.

In-form Granit Xhaka will keep his place in the midfield alongside Thomas Partey, with skipper Martin Odegaard joining the duo in the middle of the park.

Saka and Martinelli are in line to start on either flank, with Gabriel Jesus leading the goal hunt.

Possible Arsenal lineup:

Goalkeeper: Aaron Ramsdale

Defenders: Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel

Midfielders: Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard

Forwards: Martinelli, Jesus, Saka
