Rivers United, who are the reigning champions of the Nigerian League, have crashed out in the 2022 CAF Champions League after losing 6-0 on Sunday night, 16 October, against Wydad Casablanca.

It was a night that the players of United, coaching crew and fans will not forget so soon, considering how the Port Harcourt based side were embarrassed in Morocco by their opponents.

Going into this game, coach Stanley Eguma and his wards won the first leg of the knockout stage 2-1 in Port Harcourt, and they only needed to get a goalless draw in the return leg to qualify for the next round.
