Nico Williams followed up his debut with an assist as Spain defeated Portugal in the Nations League on Tuesday night.

The Athletic Bilbao forward seems to have impressed manager Luis Enrique after two games and could make the squad for the World Cup.

He could join his brother Inaki Williams as siblings to have represented two different countries at the World Cup and in Ghana's case they will follow the path of the Boateng brothers.

Williams brothers make debuts for Ghana and Spain

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Athletic Bilbao stars, Inaki and Nico Williams, have been handed their debuts by Ghana and Spain, respectively, over the weekend.

Inaki, the eldest of the two brothers, came on in the second half as the Black Stars of Ghana suffered defeat to Brazil, while Nico featured for Spain against Switzerland.

Inaki Williams had previously represented Spain in the past but decided to switch nationality in June after changes in the FIFA eligibility rules.
