Caught Offside reported that the German side held a 2-goal lead in the second half but then saw that disappear in the space of 12 minutes as England fought back.

Gareth Southgate's men scored three quickfire goals to take the lead before a Nick Pope error late in the game allowed Germany to equalise.

The German side have now won just one game in their last five fixtures and head into the World Cup on the back of a disappointing spell. The other four fixtures saw them lose one (to Hungary) and draw three.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Germany's media has lambasted the team for their recent performances and their showing against England in particular.

The Bild's headline was particularly harsh as it read, 'World Cup worries after Wembley.' madness!'

German will play Japan, Spain and Costa Rica in Group E at the World Cup and will be looking to win their fifth title, a feat only achieved by Brazil.

Ilkay Gündoğan and Joshua Kimmich unhappy with Germany's performance against England in UEFA Nations League

Germany's star players are not holding back when it comes to analysing their performance against England in the UEFA Nations League.

The German team let a 2-goal lead slip as they settled for a 3-3 draw against Gareth Southgate's men at Wembley, Sports Brief earlier reported.

After the game, Manchester City's İlkay Gündoğan and Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich spoke about the team's performance as they prepare for the World Cup.
