Asamoah Gyan is backing the Black Stars to beat Brazil in their international friendly against Brazil on Friday in Le Havre.

The 36-year-old, who is relishing an opportunity to play for the Black Stars at the World Cup, did not make the squad for the friendlies.

However, in a video posted on social media, the legendary forward led a group of supporters as they sang and danced in show of support for the national team.

Asamoah Gyan remain a cult figure in Ghana, having scored 51 goals including six at the World Cup in 109 international appearances.

Ghana have been drawn in Group H of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Asamoah Gyan praises Kevin Prince Boateng

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Legendary Ghanaian forward, Asamoah Gyan, has praised ex-teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng for giving his best anytime he wore the Black Stars jersey.

Kevin-Prince Boateng was the darling boy of the national team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa as the Black Stars reached the quarter-finals.

Despite being born in Germany, Boateng decided to play for Ghana at international level, making 15 appearances and scoring two goals.

Asamoah Gyan advises Europe-born Ghanaian players

Asamoah Gyan has advised players who have switched nationalities to represent Ghana to be ready to be with the Black Stars after the World Cup.

Several players including former Spain forward Inaki Williams and ex-England youth international Tariq Lamptey are set for their Ghana debut ahead of the international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

Reports suggests most of the players want the opportunity to play at the World Cup and could lose interest after the tournament in Qatar.
