Ahead of Spain's Nations League games against Switzerland and Portugal, the former Barcelona manager revealed why he invited the youngster who is also eligible to play for Ghana.

“He’s playing more often with Athletic [Bilbao] now. He’s progressing wonderfully. I like him enormously. We’ve had him in the junior squad and have been following him for a long time,” he added.
“I reckon the family will be delighted: imagine the party if they both go to the World Cup. And they reach the final, well, that would be the absolute business.”
Nico Williams is younger brother of Athletic Club star Inakli Williams, who opted to represent Ghana ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Although, he has been invited for the games later this week, Williams can still switch nationality if he makes less than three appearances for the European champions.
