Michael Owen has snubbed Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, and David Beckham while naming his all-time Premier League XI.

A Premier League icon himself, Owen had the privilege of playing alongside some of the finest footballers to grace the English top flight.

During his illustrious EPL career, Owen turned out for Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, and Stoke City, plundering 150 goals in 326 league matches.

So who features in Michael Owen's all-time EPL XI?

In an interview with Premier League productions, the former footballer-turn pundit left a number of iconic names in his list of all-time XI.

Owen settled on Peter Schmeichel in the goalkeeping department, describing the Dane as "a standout."

The legendary striker partnered Rio Ferdinand and John Terry in the heart of defence, with Gary Neville and Ashley Cole also making the backline.

In midfield, Owen overlooked Lampard, to name Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieira, and Paul Scholes.

The former England international went on to shortlist Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry, and Alan Shearer in attack, with David Beckham and Wayne Rooney missing out.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool legend Michael Owen has named former France captain Zinedine Zidane the best player he ever played with.

Michael Owen signed for Real Madrid in 2004 and played together with Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid for just one season.

World Cup winner Zidane has won three FIFA Player of the Year awards and one Ballon d'Or accolade.
