Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho ripped the net apart in training as Leicester City players train ahead of their Premier League clash with Southampton.

The Foxes, who are yet to win a match this season, will host the Saints at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, August 20, and will be hoping to get their first three points of this campaign.

Iheanacho saw just twenty minutes of action in the opening league game as they lost 4-2 to the Gunners, but he was on the bench during their 2-2 draw with Brentford.

As they prepare for Southampton, a clip shows the Nigerian international as he impressed in their practice session.

His teammate and fellow Nigerian Wilfred Ndidi share the footage on Instagram showing Iheanacho ripping apart the net with the striker responding in Pidgin English, “Street na your mate?”

A moment came where he brought down a cross with his chest before he volleyed the ball into the net with a ferocious shot,

The 25-year-old, who scored 14 goals in all competitions, will hope to feature against the Saints as Brendan Rodgers continues searching for his first league win this season.

Ndidi showers praise on Mikel Obi

Meanwhile, Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has lauded Mikel Obi for his achievements during his time with the English Premier League club Chelsea.

Ndidi stated that he always looked up to the former Chelsea No.12, who was part of the Blues squad that won the coveted Champions League in 2012.

Mikel also won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups, one Community Shield, one Football League Cup, and one Europa League title during his time with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
