Esther Onyenezide who is a Super Falconets midfielder has stated clearly that she and her teammates in the national team are ready to face any opponents at the ongoing World Cup.

Super Falconets have been impressive so far at the Under 20 World Cup winning their first two games against France and Korea Republic.

The two wins the Nigerian team have gotten have sent them to the quarterfinal of the competition even with one more game to play in the Group against Canada.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Esther Onyenezide explained that the desire of all the players is to succeed this time around at the Under 20 World Cup.

“We are a giant in Africa and fear no other team.
“We’ve trained an unbelievable amount and if you look back at qualifying, then we’ve every right to be confident out here whenever we play.
“We want to show the world that we’re not just big in African terms but that we can beat any other team.''

Onyenezide Scores As Falconets Defeat South Korea to Qualify for Women’s U20 World Cup Quarterfinal

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigeria’s Falconets continued their 100 per cent record at the ongoing FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after defeating their counterparts from South Korea 1-0.

It was a tense battle in Costa Rica as both nations clashed, but the Nigerians left it late before securing all three points.

It is now six points from a possible six for Nigeria, who are now leading Group C and have qualified for the tournament's quarter-finals.

And it was Esther Onyenezide who found the back of the net with a superb strike in the 83rd minute.

Her goal, which won the match for the Nigerian side, also earned her the player of the match.
