A lovely picture shows the moment an amazing mother backed her baby just before a football match in Uganda.

African mothers are known to go to any length to take care of their child, but to strap her baby to her back minutes before the kickoff of a game is totally courageous.

In the photo, the yet-to-be-identified woman could be seen marching with her teammates onto the pitch for a game.

Zambia women’s goalkeeper remembers her former teammates

Meanwhile, the goalkeeper of the Zambian women’s national team, Hazel Nali, remembers her roots as she bought new football boots for her former teammates at Nchanga Queens FC in Zambia.

Eight years after leaving the club based in the northeastern areas of Chingola in Chingola District of Copperbelt Province, Nali deemed it fit to reunite with her former teammates.

Hazel, who now plays for Turkish women’s super league side Fatih Vatan Spor, was key in the Copper Queens squad that qualified for the Olympics and FIFA World Cup for the first time ever in Zambia’s football history.

Nigeria’s Glory Ogbona joins ALG FC of Turkey

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Glory Ogbonna has officially joined Turkish club ALG Spor Kulubu after she signed a one-year contract.

In a telephone conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ogbonna confirmed that she will now feature for the Champions League-bound team.

She confirmed that she penned the deal on Wednesday, August 10, and expressed delight that she will feature in the women's version of the Champions League with the club this season.
