Roger Milla is widely celebrated globally for his exploits at the World Cup in 1990 with the Cameroonian national team.

The former Cameroon striker netted four goals at that tournament to engross his name in the history books of world football.

Among his performances at the competition, his best was against England when he came off the bench in the quarter-final to win a penalty and set up a goal for the Indomitable Lions.

A footage of his amazing display has been spotted, with the legend and his teammates unlucky to lose to England.

The three Lions defeated Cameroon after Gary Lineker scored from the spot to see the Europeans progressed to the semi-final. England were awarded two spot kicks in that game.

However, it was the cameo from Milla that stole the attention of fans. With Cameroon down by a goal after Stuart Pearce had given England the lead, Milla was fouled in the box by Paul Gascoigne few minutes after coming on, and Emmanuel Kunde made no mistake from the spot.

The talismanic Milla will then feed Eugene Ekeke after a brilliant move by Cameroon as they Indomitable Lions shocked England to take the lead.

But the Africans were let down after conceding two penalties which were converted by Gary Lineker in the final minutes of the epic encounter. The game remains one of the classic World Cup matches.

Former Ghana coach C.K Akonnor meets Roger Milla

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars, Charles Kwablan Akonnor met African football legend Roger Milla at the Africa Cup of Nations draw on Tuesday.

The former Ghana captain shared the moment with the Cameroonian before the draw was held in Yaoundé.

In photos posted on Twitter by the coach, C.K Akonnor is seen beaming with smile as he waited to find out his opponents for the Nations Cup next year. Read more:
