Ghanaians have established their dissatisfaction over Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro's claims that the Black Stars qualified to the 2022 World Cup by accident.

Thomas Partey's crucial away goal in Abuja saw Ghana make a return to the Mundial after edging the Super Eagles in the play-offs.

Nigeria's Portuguese gaffer believes the Super Eagles had a better team and should have qualified ahead of Ghana.

“I have a team with players who play in England, Italy, France, Spain, but unfortunately they didn’t beat Ghana to go to the World Cup," he said as quoted by Pulse Nigeria.

“But I think it was an accident, I think Nigeria is better than Ghana," he added.

Peseiro took over as head coach of Nigeria from Augustine Eguaveon following the Super Eagles disappointing display against Ghana.

Thomas Partey named in Arsenal squad for pre-season tour of USA

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has travelled with his Arsenal teammates for the pre-season tour of the United States.

The 29-year-old rejoined his teammates this week to continue preparations ahead of the new campaign, having already missed the friendly against Nurnberg in Germany last week.

Arsenal released the squad for the pre-season tour on Wednesday with the Ghana international in the 33-man team travelling to the US.
