Legendary football star David Beckham was left in awe after his son, Romeo, scored a stunning 25-yard free-kick for his Major League Soccer franchise Inter Miami II.

Romeo's sublime free-kick had fans talking as it bore all the hallmarks of Beckham's trademark set-pieces.

According to The Mirror, Beckham senior was famous as a clinical set-piece taker during his iconic playing career.

His clinical finishes saw him establish himself as Manchester United's regular free-kick taker.

The former footballer's teenage son Romeo now appears to have taken after his dad in free-kick taking, with his first goal of the season for Inter Miami II reminding fans about Beckham senior.

A video capturing Romeo taking the free-kick shows the 19-year-old looking eerily just like his old man before he stepped up to bend a splendid long-range strike into the bottom corner of the net.

Romeo's goal was among the three scored by Inter Miami II as they demolished Orlando City II 3-1.

Beckham later took to his Instagram to express his delight at seeing his son copy his iconic style of taking free-kicks.

The former England international said that he was proud of Romeo, with the youngster dedicating the goal to his dad.

Beckham to reap big from Bale's MLS switch

Earlier, Sports Brief reported David Beckham's Inter Miami is set to earn $75,000 from Gareth Bale's transfer to Los Angeles FC due to a new rule in the Major League Soccer called the Discovery List.

The Discovery List is in place in all top American leagues like the NBA and NFL that sets salary caps to respectable levels.

Bale heads to the United States for an initial contract of 12 months as he prepares to lead his national side to Qatar for the World Cup.
