Premier Soccer League chairman Irvin Khoza announces Carling Knockout Cup to replace Telkom Knockout

The Premier Soccer League will have another cup competition added for the 2022/23 season.

Chairman Irvin Khoza announced the Carling Knockout Cup is set to be held during the months of November and December. The tournament replaces the Telkom Knockout, which was last held in 2019, won by Mamelodi Sundowns after defeating Maritzburg United 2-1 in the final.

This competition was not conducted in 2020 after the Covid-19 pandemic upended the global sports calendar and was abolished last season.
