Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring for Al Ahly after 12 minutes, before Achraf Bencharki and Mahmoud Shikabala scored for Zamalek in the second half. Salah Mohsen scored the final goal of the game to give Al Ahly a share of the spoils, King FUT reported.

While many blame Komsan for the draw, ex-Egyptian assistant coach, Diaa El-Sayed, instead chose to blame Mosimane for the result, Soccer Laduma reported.

"Al Ahly players appeared in poor shape during the second half, Mosimane is the one to blame for it," he said.

He added that there were a lot of mistakes during the game which should have not been the case between two big sides.

Mosimane has been without a club since leaving Egypt, but has not been short of offers.

Pitso Mosimane expresses interest in coaching in South Africa but Mamelodi Sundowns aren't open to a reunion

Pitso Mosimane has not ruled out a return to South Africa as a coach. Mosimane has been linked with numerous clubs since he left Al Ahly last week.

Following his departure from Al Ahly, some believed that Mosimane would return to Mamelodi Sundowns. Mosimane was contracted to the Brazilians till 2024 but left the club to join Al Ahly in 2020. He was also the only coach to lead Masandawana to the CAF Champions League title.

Sundowns' chairman, Thlopie Motsepe, has ruled out the possibility of Mosimane returning to the club, though.
