Hugo Broos is committed to improving the standard of football in the country and plans to meet the local coaches to do so.
Broos intends to meet with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) coaches this year as he hopes to get them on board with his plans for the sport in the country.
Broos has been critical recently about the quality of players in the country and the level of the PSL, comments which didn’t sit well with many.
He has since apologised for those comments, Sport24 reported. Broos now wants to meet with the coaches in the PSL and hopes that this time, he will be able to do so, The Daily Sun reported.
“The first time I tried, the league didn’t accept. The second time they didn’t even send my invitation letter to the coaches.”
Broos is hoping that the meeting will get the ball rolling in terms of bettering the standard of football in the country.
“If the coaches are united and work towards this, then we can achieve something.”
Dylan Kerr recently called on Broos to meet with the coaches in the league and attend training sessions to find a better way to move forward.

Dylan Kerr is the latest person to comment on Hugo Broos’ recent statements about the standard of football in South Africa.
The Bafana coach commented that The Premier Soccer League (PSL) didn’t have quality players to allow the national team to compete globally.
Kerr referenced the comments during his post-match talk after Swallows FC’s game against the University of Pretoria. Swallows won the match 1-0 to secure their DStv Premiership status, Times LIVE reported.
