FIFA officially revealed the cities and stadia that will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The biggest football event will be jointly organised by the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

The USA got the lion's share of the venues with 11 cities Boston, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami and Los Angeles.

Mexico will have Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey. Canada, meanwhile, will have Toronto and Vancouver.

The Daily Mail reports that this will be the first time in 32 years that a North American country will host the World Cup. The last time it was organised in the United States was in 1994 and Brazil won its fourth title.

Speaking during the ceremony, Infantino expressed his confidence that the event would be a success and congratulated the selected cities.

We congratulate the 16 FIFA World Cup host cities on their outstanding commitment and passion,' Infantino said in a statement.
Today is a historic day - for everyone in those cities and states, for FIFA, for Canada, the USA and Mexico who will put on the greatest show on Earth.
We look forward to working together with them to deliver what will be an unprecedented FIFA World Cup and a game-changer as we strive to make football truly global.

Platini, who is currently under trial together with former FIFA President Sepp Blatter, has confessed that there was a scheme to ensure that hosts France, didn’t meet pre-tournament favourites Brazil until the final.

He was the co-president of the World Cup Organising Committee for the draw that happened at Stade Velodrome in Marseilles.
