  • Michy Batshuayi returned to the Belgian national team ahead of their Nations League cracker against the Netherlands
  • The Chelsea misfit turned up to national training in style as he arrived in an exotic BMW spray-painted in rainbow
  • The 28-year-old has so far made 77 appearances since joining Chelsea and still has a contract with the Stamford Bridge club until 2023

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi showed up at the Belgium national team training in a rainbow spray-painted BMW to stun his teammates.

The 28-year-old seems to have put all events that transpired at his club during the just-concluded season behind by having his car painted in rainbow colours.

He has not been a regular in the Blues' starting lineup since his £33million move from French Ligue 1 side Marseille in 2016.

Batshuayi has been sent on loan to Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and last season he featured for Turkish club Besiktas.

The forward has so far made 41 appearances in the national colours and even made a big impression when he turned up for national duty on Monday.

SunSport reports that the Brussels-born star showed up at the Red Devils' Tubize training HQ in a BMW decorated in camouflage style.

However, the paint job does anything but blend into the background - sporting a mix of pink, yellow, purple, orange and red.

Why Kevin de Bruyne opted to play for Belgium

Meanwhile, Kevin de Bruyne has also scored 23 goals for his country during his career, but did you know that de Bruyne could have replicated that same success for Burundi?

The mother of the Manchester City star, Anne, was born in Burundi and lived there for some time before moving to Europe, Sportskeeda reported.

As a result, De Bruyne was eligible to play for the African nation but chose to represent Belgium, the home of his birth, instead.

De Bruyne receives UEFA Coaching License A certificate

Sports Brief earlier reported that De Bruyne scooped his UEFA Coaching License A certificate, days after winning the Premier League title with Manchester City.

The Belgium midfielder enjoyed a stellar campaign, notching a career-high 15 goals and eight assists during the 2021/22 campaign, helping Manchester City clinch their fourth league title in the past five seasons.

De Bruyne, who was handed the Premier League Player of the Season Award, received his UEFA A coaching license after two years of training with the Belgian Football Association.
