Wydad Casablanca beat Al Ahly 2-0 in the final in front of their home fans in Morocco, SuperSport confirmed.

While some football fans are still congratulating Wydad on the win, others have drawn criticism surrounding the hosting of the final in Morocco, in front of Wydad’s home fans.

Pitso has received a lot of sympathy from fans for having to play the final in front of the opposition’s fans while Dr Motsepe has been criticized by many.

Some have even speculated that there is still bad blood between the two after Mosimane left Mamelodi Sundowns for Al Ahly.

Social media has had its say and here are the best reactions from the conversation regarding the two:

@kgabo_dew:

"Motsepe did pitso dirty by taking the cup final to wydad home instead of SA like they initially pronounced... you guys need to leave Pitso alone, he's there for all of us."

@WonderMahlobo:

"CAF and Patrice Motsepe realy did Pitso and Al Ahly dirty by taking this final to Wydad's home ground. Anyone who thinks this is fair truly just hates Pitso."

@DiscoNicholas:

"Look at Pitso giving Motsepe a Cold shoulder when they giving them Medals. I know when it comes to being spiteful he's unmatched."

@DhlomoV:

"Not once has Motsepe spoken badly about Pitso in public. But Pitso has been comfortable disrespecting him countless times in the public domain. Even went as far as accusing him of corruption on social media. One day he will reflect!!!"

@NoX_Malcom:

"What Patrice Motsepe did to Al Ahly can never be forgiven! how do you sabotage a fellow brother like that? Pitso doesn't deserve this. #CAFCL"

@MoneriMandla:

"Al Ahly playing this final in Morocco, that happens to be Wydad's country, is a sabotage to Pitso. I don't want to hear about bid and what not. Motsepe is punishing Pitso, that's clear."

@EricanSA:

"By bringing the final to Wydad's home field, CAF and Patrice Motsepe did a terrible disservice to Pitso and Al Ahly. Anyone who believes this is reasonable must despise Al Ahly and Pitso. Worse CAF only gave Al Ahly 2500 tickets."

@NdimUVuyo:

"Too many useless and clueless idiots on the TL right now. There's nothing out of the ordinary with the final being in Morocco. Pitso is just a sore loser. Nothing wrong with what Motsepe did. If PSG reached the final, they would've played in Paris. Nothing wrong with that."

Steve Komphela criticises Al Ahly players for being disrespectful, fans accuse Komphela of being a hypocrite

Al Ahly’s behaviour after the final of the CAF Champions League has not sat well with Steve Komphela. Pitso Mosimane’s charges were beaten 2-0 in the final by Wydad Casablanca.

Following their defeat, Al Ahly’s antics were criticised by Komphela during the trophy presentation.

As reported by iDiskiTimes, Al Ahly players were seen removing their runners-up medals before they left the stage. Mamelodi Sundowns’ Komphela took to Twitter to label the scene as disgusting and call it disrespectful.

Wydad Casablanca crowned champions of Africa after victory against Egypt's Al Ahly in CAF Champions League

Wydad are champions of Africa. The Moroccan side beat Al Ahly 2-0 to claim their third continental title and deny Pitso Mosimane's side a third title in a row.

Wydad dominated the opening minutes of the final and came close to taking the lead as early as the 10th minute when Guy Mbenza rattled the crossbar.

Wydad, spurred on by a deafening crowd, took the lead thanks to a beautiful long-range effort in the 15th minute. Zouhair El Moutaraji unleased a vicious effort from well outside the box that beat Mohamed El Shanawy.
