Charles Jesaja Herrmann, son of former Black Stars captain and coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor, has revealed his favourite Ghanaian player.
The German youth international arrived in Ghana last week to spend time with his father and family while on vacation.
On Saturday, he was a guest on Tv3's Warm Plus Show, where he disclosed that Michael Essien is top of his favourite Ghanaian players, ahead of his father.
"It's Michael Essien," he answered when asked whether his father was his favourite Ghanaian player.
Jesaja Herrmann was very young when his father played for German club Wolfsburg, where he made his name. Charles Kwabla Akonnor was the first player from Africa to captain Wolfsburg.
He was recently coach of Ghana's Black Stars but was sacked after defeat to South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers in September last year.
His son, Charles Jesaja Herrmann plays for KV Kortrijk in the Belgium league.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that son of former Ghana coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor, Charles Jesaja Herrmann has revealed his desire to play for the Black Stars.
The former Germany youth international is ready to switch allegiance and represent Ghana, the country of his father.
Jesaja Herrmann, who plays for Belgium topflight side KV Kortrijk in an interview with Tv3 confirmed his interest in playing for Ghana.

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has taken a decision to terminate the appointment of Black Stars Coach Charles Akonnor and his two Assistants with immediate effect.
This follows the receipt of the Technical Report from the Head Coach of the Senior National Team and the report from the Black Stars Management Committee following Ghana’s Group G World Cup qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The Executive Council after considering the two reports, have decided to terminate its relationship with the Head Coach C. K Akonnor and the two Assistants.
