Senegalese football great El Hadji Diouf has extolled the abilities of Ghana's leading all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan.

The ex-Liverpool star heaped praise on the legendary Ghanaian striker describing him as one of the best strikers he has seen.

Asamoah Gyan, currently unattached since last year, carved a niche for himself as one of the deadliest strikers on the continent, particularly with the Black Stars.

The 36-year-old Gyan holds the record of being Ghana's all-time top scorer with 51 goals and remains the highest African scorer at the World Cup with six goals

“I have known many people for long as friends but Gyan is my brother. He is one of the best strikers I have seen in my life, he’s a legend and that’s why I came to support his book launch” Diouf said as quoted by Football Ghana.

Diouf, the Team Manager of the Senegal national team, is in Ghana ahead of Asamoah Gyan's autobiography launch at the plush Kempinski Hotel on Saturday.

Diouf wants Asamoah Gyan included in the Black Stars team

African football great El Hadji Diouf wants Asamoah Gyan included in the Black Stars in order to brighten the chances of Ghana winning trophies.

Diouf, currently the Team Manager of reigning African champions Senegal, believes the ex-Black Stars captain can contribute to the growth of the national team with his wealth of invaluable experience.

Asamoah Gyan, who is on the cusp of launching his autobiography, is unattached since the expiration of his deal with Legon Cities and has not played for Ghana since the 2019 AFCON.

Senegalese star arrives in Ghana ahead of Asamoah Gyan's book launch

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Senegalese footballer El Hadji Diouf has arrived in Ghana ahead of Asamoah Gyan's book launch slated for Saturday, April 30.

The former Liverpool forward was welcomed by the man-of-the-moment Asamoah Gyan when he touched down at the airport.

In a post on the video-sharing app Youtube, spotted by Sports Brief, the African football legends were greeted by beautiful Ghanaian ladies clad in popular traditional wear, Kente.
