Legendary Senegalese footballer El Hadji Diouf has arrived in Ghana ahead of Asamoah Gyan's book launch slated for Saturday, April 30.

The former Liverpool forward was welcomed by the man-of-the-moment Asamoah Gyan when he touched down at the airport.

In a post on the video-sharing app Youtube, spotted by Sports Brief, the African football legends were greeted by beautiful Ghanaian ladies clad in popular traditional wear, Kente.

The beautiful ladies danced rhythmically to the 'Adowa' tune in front of Diouf and Gyan before handing over a bouquet of flowers to the ex-Senegalese international.

Diouf is not the only high profile personality expected to grace the launch of the book with invitations extended to CAF president Patrice Motsepe and other African football legends.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana headlines the list of high-profile politicians invited by Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan, who has had a storied football career which has seen him play across three continents, will launch the book, titled LeGyandary - which provides insight into his football career, business and personal life.

The 36-year-old former Ghana captain who is without a club after his deal with Legon Cities expired last year is nursing the ambitions of having a last dance with the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Asamoah Gyan meets Ghana's president ahead of his book launch

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed he will be launching a book about his life, career and business after meeting president Nana Akufo-Addo last week.

The 36-year-old, who is yet to hang his boots met the country's president together with his team to discuss the launch of his autobiography.

Gyan in a post on Twitter thanked His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of arrangements for the official release of his book.
