FootballMan City vs Watford Preview as Guardiola Faces Several Key Injury Concerns
- Guardiola has a couple of injury concerns ahead of Manchester City’s game against Watford
- The Spaniard will be without Kyle Walker, while he faces a dilemma on who to start with the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid on the horizon
- City are only a point ahead of Liverpool on the log and Guardiola admitted his side could not afford to drop any points
With only five round of fixtures in the Premier League left, the title race will almost certainly go down to the wire.
Interestingly enough, the relegation battle is also heating up with games running out, and two sides from opposite ends of the table in the form of Manchester City and Watford meet at the Etihad on Saturday in what promises to be a cracker.
Manchester City are in unfamiliar territory this season as by this point in the campaign, they are usually one trophy in already.
But after crashing out of the FA Cup and Liverpool winning the Carabao trophy, City now only has two competitions to play for – the Champions League and Premier League title.
For Watford, they find themselves in a desperate bid to secure their Premier League status, but it will not come easy against the defending EPL Champions.
Team News, Manchester City
Pep Guardiola is once again likely to be without the services of Kyle Walker as the right back is struggling with an ankle problem.
Defenders John Stones and Nathan Ake are also unlikely to feature as they picked up issues in City’s win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday.
With one eye on the Real Madrid clash, Guardiola is likely to make a number of changes to his side with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and the departing Fernandinho likely to make the starting XI.
