World football governing body, FIFA, has unveiled the match ball for the 2022 World Cup.
Dubbed 'Al Rihla', the match ball boasts incredible features and is inspired by the architecture, boats, and the flag of Qatar, who are the tournament's host nation.
According to Daily Mail, Al Rihla, which derives its name from the Arabic word 'the journey ", is the 14th successive ball that Adidas has designed for FIFA for the World Cup.
What makes Al Rihla different from previous match balls for the World Cup?
Goal claims the ball is designed to support peak game speeds.
What this means is that the ball has the capacity to travel faster in flight than any ball in the history of the global football competition.
It is understood the ball has been created from the inside out and underwent rigorous tests at the Adidas labs.
Additionally, Al Rihla is also said to provide the highest level of accuracy and reliability on the pitch - thanks to its panel shape and texture.
And its unique features, FIFA's director of marketing, Jean-Francois Pathy, exuded confidence football stars will enjoy playing it.
