Nigerian international Joe Aribo found the back of the net as Rangers defeat Hibernian 2-1 to maintain their 100 per-cent Scottish Premiership home record.

The in-form Aribo put Steven Gerrard’s side ahead in the 19th minute after he was set up by Kemar Roofe.

And so far this season, the 24-year-old has now scored eight goals in 28 league appearances for the Gers this season.

He was replaced by Scott Arfield 18 minutes from time, but Ryan Kent had scored Rangers’ second in the 62nd minute.

Kevin Nisbet reduced the deficit for Hibernian 12 minutes from time.

Also, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was on target for Napoli in their 2-1 triumph over Sampdoria as he increases his goal tally in the league to five goals this campaign.

The 22-year-old attacker got on the scores sheet in the 87th minute after firing home a superb short from close range.

Osimhen ran towards the goal area before shooting despite Maya Yoshida breathing down on his neck after Dries Mertens served him the ball.

The Nigeria international has now scored five goals and two assists in 16 Serie A matches so far this season.

His goal only sealed the victory for The Parthenopeans after Fabian already gave them the lead 10 minutes before halftime.

The 25-year-old Spaniard enjoyed a beautiful build-up play with his teammates before eventually latching on the ball that went straight into the back of the net.

Morten Thorsby had a chance to level up for his side in the 75th minute but the VAR was called into action and the goal was eventually ruled out.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho was on target twice for Leicester City in their 3-2 Premier League defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old has now scored six goals in his last five EPL games for the Foxes while his tally in all competitions so far stands at 14 goals and five assists.

Iheanacho grabbed his first goal of the game in the 70th minute through a stunning shot from the edge of the 18-yard box.

The former Manchester City attacker doubled his tally from close range in the 90+1 minute after another defensive error from the hosts.
