Fabinho ruled out of action until new year with ankle injury

Premier League leaders Liverpool have been hit with a major blow following the injury of star midfielder Fabinho who will be out of action until next year.
The Brazilian football star sustained the injury in Liverpool's Champions League game against Napoli on Wednesday night, November 27.

He is now expected to begin a rehabilitation programme with Liverpool's medical team so as to fasten his chances of returning to action quick in 2020.

For the past 12 months now at Anfield, Fabinho has been one of the most trusted players for Jurgen Klopp, and the German will have to sweat for his injury.

"It looks pretty sure that he will not be involved in the Christmas fixtures. It will obviously take a while. The whole night after the game, there was nobody asked me about that,'' Klopp explained.
Meanwhile, Liverpool who are currently topping the Premier League standings will face Brighton in their next game in the Premier League.
Klopp is also awaiting the final results on Joel Matip , who is struggling to recover from a knee injury.
