A rich Ghanaian gold mine owner Antwi Boasiako has authoritatively declared interest in splashing cash to acquire English Premier League club Chelsea.

The 45-year-old made this declaration and added that he will make efforts to sign multiple Ballon d’Or winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Current owner Roman Abramovich has put the club up for sale as the Russian billionaire is asking for £3billion for the Champions League holders.

Known as 'Chairman Wontumi' back home in Ghana, Boasiako who is the New Patriotic Party regional chairman also said he would seek to get rid of Romelu Lukaku and sign a Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr.

Boasiako told Ghana's Wontumi FM radio station as per SunSport:

"I want to go and buy Chelsea Football Club. I am interested in it. Those who buy clubs are not footballers, but business people. I am also a businessman. I'm into gold mining. Why can't we buy the club? I want to join the bidding.
"If I become the owner, I want the Brazilian player at Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr - and to sell off Romelu Lukaku.
"I will speak with Manchester United to see if I can also buy Cristiano Ronaldo for Chelsea. I'd also look at signing Lionel Messi.
"Roman Abramovich has done his best. It is now time for him to support a Ghanaian or an African to buy Chelsea."

However, ambitious Boasiako is likely to face some stern competition for the Stamford Bridge club.

British billionaire set to submit bid to acquire Chelsea

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nick Candy who is a British property developer has reportedly appeared to be working on submitting a massive £2.5billion bid to buy Premier League giants Chelsea this week.

It is no longer news that outgoing owner Roman Abramovich wants to sell the club due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine which has claimed the lives of many people.

Roman Abramovich who has been the owner of Chelsea since 2003 made it clear that he wants to sell the Stamford Bridge club as he got barred from living permanently in the UK.
