Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona have indicated interest in signing RB Salzburg youngster Karim Adeyemi as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the coming season.
The 20-year-old is now one of the most sought-after strikers across Europe as he found the back of the net 19 times in 33 appearances during his time in Austria.
Sports Mole reports that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich had made an attempt to snap him up as they once offered him a five-year contract.
It was gathered via German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten that the negotiations later fell apart and then Real Madrid and Barcelona are ready to swoop.
The La Liga giants are said to be monitoring Adeyemi’s development even though they must be prepared to fork out around €42.5m if they wish to prise the striker away from Salzburg this summer.
Adeyemi, who has already received three international caps with Germany, is under contract at Salzburg until June 2024.
Barcelona intensify chase
In their bid to bolster the squad as soon as the January transfer window opens, Spanish club Barcelona have continued their chase for Nigerian descent Karim Adeyemi.
Born in Germany to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother, the 19-year-old has featured for the German senior national team, having three caps already.
Following his impressive run of form in recent times, Adeyemi is billed to leave Austrian club Salzburg at the end of the season as several European clubs are jostling for his signature.
It was gathered that Catalan side Barca see the striker as an alternative to priority target Erling Haaland who they have been struggling to sign.
West Ham United chase Antoine Semenyo
Sports Brief earlier reported that English-born Ghanaian forward, Antoine Semenyo, could leave Bristol City to join Premier League club West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old striker has attracted interest from David Moyes' side following his blistering season for his club in the English Championship, scoring six goals and making seven assists in just 21 appearances this season.
The Hammers have shown interest in Semenyo as they see him a perfect replacement for Jarrod Bowen who is close to joining Liverpool in the Summer.
