Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly set to quit as manager following the Whites' shocking run of results in the Premier League.

The Argentine tactician has spent four years at Leeds, leading them to the English top-flight from the Championship.

Leeds United struggles

However, the Yorkshire club have struggled for form in their second season in the Premier League, posting poor results in recent weeks.

Their latest outing ended in a 4-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, February 26, at Elland Road in a result that left Bielsa under immense pressure.

The result meant Leeds have managed just one point from a possible 18 in their last six matches and sit just two points off the relegation zone.

Marcelo Bielsa's departure

The Sun now reports Bielsa is on the verge of quitting his managerial role at Leeds, with former RB Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch primed to replace him.

According to the publication, the finalisation of Bielsa's exit is currently being thrashed out between lawyers.

Marsch, who was last employed by RB Leipzig earlier this season will be charged with the responsibility of turning around Leeds' form.

The Whites are scheduled to play Aston Villa, Norwich, Wolves, Southampton and Watford in a vital run of Premier League matches as they push to avoid relegation.
