Liverpool has identified Lautaro Martinez as their next major transfer target and has told Inter Milan to name a price for the Argentine striker.

The 24-year-old has scored 11 goals already for the Italian Champions this season and was instrumental in the Milan side winning their first scudetto title in ten years last season.

According to a report via Daily Star, Inter Milan are looking to overhaul their strike force amid financial issues which led to the departures of Lukaku, Hakimi, and Conte last season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the Argentine striker and is determined to bring the striker to Anfield.

The Nerazzurri have placed a price tag of £75m on the 24-year-old, but it is unclear if that will prove to be a stumbling block for the Reds.

Lukaku willing to accept pay cut to dump Chelsea for Inter Milan

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku's time at Stamford Bridge seems like it is coming to an end after failing to impress in his second coming to Chelsea.

According to Daily Post, the Belgian striker is now willing to accept a pay cut in order to return to Inter Milan in the summer.

Lukaku presently earns a €12.5 million salary at Stamford, but the striker feels a move back to Inter Milan, where he won the Serie A last season, will ignite his fading career.
