Accra Lions F.C's history

ALFC joined the second division in 2015. However, the club took two seasons to book their Zone Four division championship ticket after garnering 73 points in 28 games. Monumental victories over Emmanuel FC R-Stake and Photizo Future Professionals in the promotion-only play-offs took them to the Division One League.

As of midseason, the newbies were still languishing near the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table. After playing 17 games, the club ranked 15 with 19 points, just a point above the relegation zone.

The Lions' players had only won five matches, drawn four and lost eight games. The club's first league victory was a 2-1 triumph over Bechem United 2-1 at the Ohene Djan Stadium on 20 November 2021.
