Chelsea who are Premier League giants have arrived the United Arab Emirates without their gaffer Thomas Tuchel for their campaign in the Club World Cup.

And in the 23-man squad announced by the Stamford Bridge landlords, Reece James was among the players who arrived UAR ahead of their first match on Wednesday, February 9.

Before the Blues traveled out of England, manager Thomas Tuchel was said to have been tested again for COVID-19 and the result returned positive and he is currently self-isolating.

According to the report on UK Sun and Gulf News, Chelsea will be boosted with the return of Reece James who has not played for the Blues since getting injured in December.

First-choice goalie Mendy is currently unavailable as he recently won the African Cup of Nations title with the Senegalese national team in Cameroon and Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli are available for the Blues.

Defenders: Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr, Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James, Kenedy, Marcos Alonso.

Midfielders: Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Saul Niguez, Ross Barkley.

Forwards: Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Romelu Lukaku.

Ighalo scores wonder goal in Club World Cup as his team set up big semifinal clash with Chelsea

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Saudi Arabian giants, Al Hilal, booked their place in the semifinal of the Club World Cup after beating Al Jazira 6-1 on Sunday night, February 6, in which Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo scored.

Odion Ighalo and his teammates at Al Hilal are in the Club World Cup after winning the Asian Champions League in 2021 which was an incredible record.

The former Manchester United striker who scored on his debut for Al Hilal is now the first Nigerian player to score in the Club World Cup which is a big achievement for Ighalo.

Odion Ighalo and his teammates will be facing Premier League giants Chelsea in the semifinal of the Club World Cup.
