Petr Cech has sent Chelsea coach Joe Edwards a message of goodwill following his decision to dump the Blues for Everton.
Chelsea announced on Monday, January 31, Edwards will be joining Frank Lampard at Everton, bringing his 27-year career at Stamford Bridge to an end.
Edwards joined the west London club almost three decades ago as a young player, but his playing career failed to work out.
He later decided to try his hand in coaching and managed to work his way through various coaching positions at the club.

However, earlier in the week, he resolved to end his association with Chelsea after he was named Everton's assistant manager.
The move saw him link up with Frank Lampard at Goodison Park following the Englishman's appointment as Rafa Benitez's replacement.

Cech has now taken some time to reflect on the arrangement, thanking Edwards for his contribution to the club.
"Joe has been Chelsea through and through for many years, since his time in the academy," Cech said on Chelsea’s official website.
"Obviously we will miss Joe, but we wish him all the best in this new chapter of his career and hope it all works out well for him," he added.
