Kyle Walker has been banned for three Champions League games for Manchester City following his dangerous kick at RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva which UEFA chiefs were not happy with.

It was in the final Champions League Group game and even the Englishman was red carded by the center referee after kicking Andre Silva.

After assessing the incident, UEFA’s control and disciplinary body imposed the three-game ban on the 31-year-old England international.

The Etihad landlords have the right to appeal and could see the punishment reduced, potentially to two matches but are understood to be likely to accept the decision.
