  • Coach Milovan Rajevac and his team, the Black Stars departed Ghana for Doha, Qatar on Friday, December 24, to begin their camping ahead of the AFCON tournament in January
  • The travelling party to Doha back then included the five players named in the squad that ply their trade in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), the Serbian coach and the technical team
  • They were joined in Qatar by the remaining 25 foreign based players over the course of the days, and today five more, including Jordan and Andre Ayew, Partey, and Amartey will join

Five players, today, are expected to join the rest of the Ghana Black Stars team already preparing for the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Doha, Qatar.

Captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Andre Ayew, his brother, Jordan Ayew, goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott, Arsenal's Thomas Partey, and Leicester City's Daniel Amartey are the players expected in Doha today, Tuesday.

Coach Milovan Rajevac will most likely oversee training with a near full house ahead of the friendly against Algeria tomorrow, with only Kamaldeen Baba Iddrisu, Baba Rahman and a few others still absent.

While absent ones, like Reading duo Andy Yiadom and Baba Rahman, Kamaldeen, Iddrisu, and Abdul Mumin, are expected in camp in a few days time, injured Ajax midfielder, Kudus Mohammmed's reporting date remains unknown.

At the moment, there are about 16 Ghana Black Stars players already at the team's training camp in Doha, including new boys Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Alex Djiku, and Joseph Paintsil.

The Black Stars will play a friendly match against winners of the last African Cup of Nations, Algeria at the Education City Stadium in Qatar on Wednesday before the tournament kicks off on January 9th.

Liverpool to monito Ghana's Fatawu & three others at 2021 AFCON

Sportsbrief.com reported earlier that Ghanaian teenager, Abdul Issahaku Fatawu and two others are among players Liverpool plans on watching at the upcoming AFCON.

According to sources, Liverpool, in addition to Issahaku Fatawu, will also be keeping tabs on 20-year-old Guinean, Aguibou Camara of Olympiakos and 17-year-old Ivorian striker, Karim Konaté with ASEC Mimosas.

Hugo Zolf, Chief Editor of African Insider, validated reports that Liverpool will be monitoring Fatawu and three other young African players at January 2022's AFCON.
