When it comes to understanding skateboarding, these skaters each dedicated their entire lives to the sport by pushing the boundaries of what is possible on a skateboard as well as what it means to be a skateboarder.

What country has the best skateboarders?

Many publication sites on the internet have posted about the best skateboarders in the world. It is often reported that the best are found in the United States. In today’s post, find out the 15 best skateboarders and the country they come from.

15. Nyjah Huston

The overall SLS champion for 5 seasons, numerous first-place finishes, 12 X-Games medals, 5 World Skateboarding Championship medals, 5 Tampa Pro victories, and multiple Dew Tour appearances are just a few accomplishments.

Nyjah is the highest-paid skateboarder in the world, which is a bonus. Nyjah has put in a lot of effort to earn these accolades. He is the best skateboarder in 2022.

Nyjah began skating at the age of 4. He spent most of his time as a child at the skate park his parents ran. He practised for five hours every day, going through his list of tricks to make sure he could consistently land them all before moving on to learning new ones.

14. Eric Koston

When the majority of skaters were skating past those obstacles, he was performing unusual tricks on large handrails, ledges, and gaps. Koston has a clear, slick, and technical aesthetic that is very recognizable. He is one of the best street skaters of all time.

Additionally, Koston has a disposition that works well for his video parts and interviews. Watch the beginning of the iconic Koston skate part on Girl's "Yeah Right," where he screams at a man who broke into his car.

13. Lance Mountain

Lance Mountain, one of the founding members of the legendary Bones Brigade, was born on June 13, 1964. Lance was one of the more well-liked riders, even though he always looked up to the other team members because of how many skateboarders could relate to his style of skating. He had a lot of trouble making ends meet, particularly after skateboarding died.

Lance and his friends built their own backyard halfpipe after being inspired by the early skateboarding magazines (Jay Adams, Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta). They looked for empty pools in backyards.

Prior to joining the Bones Brigade, Lance participated as a volunteer for the Veriflex team in 1981 before switching to Powell Peralta in 1983. Even though he wasn't the best skateboarder, his impact on the history of skateboarding cannot be disputed. He is one of the all-time best skateboarders.

12. Chris Cole

Going big is what Chris "Cobra" Cole is most famous for. He is well known for his switch frontside flip down the Love Gap, clearing enormous stair sets and gaps, grinding and sliding enormous rails, and all of the above. Along with the big stuff, Chris is a very reliable player who can put together lines and runs.

Chris Cole was twice named Skater of the Year by Thrasher if that were not enough to convince you that he belongs on the list.

11. Guy Mariano

Few skaters have maintained their skating and produced impressive video parts for more than 30 years. Guy Mariano has. At the ripe age of 40, his legendary performance in Bind's "Video Days" cemented his place among the greats. He is one of the best pro skateboarders ever.

In Girl's "Pretty Sweet," which was released in 2012, Guy performed the seemingly unachievable switch 360 flip nosegrinds down a handrail. Guy's combination of technical skating and style is very impressive, and all of his video content has endured well over time.

10. Daewon Song

Daewon's skating is not even close to being creative. You can tell that he has a unique perspective on the world and skateboarding when you watch any of his clips or video segments. He has been observed stacking furniture and trash cans, skating on used tires, and operating forklifts.

His flip tricks, grinds, spins, and late flips display unmatched technical skills. One of the most fascinating skaters to watch is without a doubt Daewon.

9. Steve Caballero

One of the original Bones Brigade's smallest, but also gnarliest, members. Steve began his career in 1980 and is well-known for his half-cab and caballerial moves.

Steve's current passion for dirt biking is evident in his most recent appearance on The Nine Club. Steve is an absolute legend and a national treasure.

The tricks that Bam Margera typically performs are terrifying and spooky. He is a force in the skateboarding industry due to his degree of control and movement. He performs stunts and is a TV personality, too.

7. Natas Kaupas

His name was once considered offensive because it was spelt Satan backwards. They acted completely crazy because they did not realize Natas was from Lituania and had a fairly common name. Funny thing is, his board became even more well-liked after it was banned.

As a result of his wall ride, which appeared in the September 1984 issue of Thrasher Magazine, Kaupas rose to prominence as a skateboarder and acquired his own pro board. He is one of the current best skateboarders.

4. Tony Alva

Alva founded the first skate shop run solely by skaters, Alva Skates, which grounded some people's equipment. One of the first manufacturers of decks using Canadian Maple Plywood was this business. He continues to skate, surf, and play music today as he always has.

3. Rodney Mullen

Even though he is widely regarded as the best freestyle skater in the world, he is always very modest in interviews. Every street trick performed by skaters today was essentially invented by Rodney, including the kickflip, heelflip, 360 flip, dark slide, Casper slide, ollie airwalk, impossible, primo slide, and many more.

Tensor trucks and Almost are two of the skate companies that Rodney founded. Midway through the 2000s, Rodney experienced hip pain, which he believed was the result of favouring one stance. In an effort to address this, he began to eliminate his preferred stance so that he could skate equally well in either one.

2. Mark Gonzales

The Gonz is credited with creating contemporary street skating. He and Natas were the pioneers of handrail skating. One of the pioneers of big gaps and stair sets was The Gonz. In and out of manuals, grinds, and slides, he would perform double flips, 360s, nollies, and flip manoeuvres.

He executed the first 900-spin ever recorded.

Skateboarding has benefited greatly from Tony Hawk's contributions, which have been numerous and ongoing. He and the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series are responsible for skateboarding's current state. He maintains his grounded nature despite being such a star.
