Revealed! A list of the ten most recent Super Bowl winners

The Super Bowl is the National Football League's annual championship game, which takes place each year in February (NFL). During the playoffs of that season, the best two clubs meet in this matchup. There have been many Super Bowl winners over the years. The first Super Bowl was held on January 15, 1967.

This article will only focus on the ten most recent championship game-winners. Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs grace this list since they are recent winners of the Super bowl.

Super Bowl winners by year

There have been many winners over the years keeping in mind that the Super Bowl started in 1967. We will focus on the winners from the last ten years year by year.

10. Baltimore Ravens

On February 3, 2013, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34–31 to end the 2012 season. Known as the Harbaugh Bowl, the game was staged at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans and featured 49ers and Ravens coaches Jim and John Harbaugh.

The Ravens finished the regular season with a 10-6 record, while the 49ers finished 11-4-1.

9. Seattle Seahawks

As the 2013 NFL season came to a close, the Seattle Seahawks thumped the Denver Broncos 43–8. The Seahawks' historic triumph set a new record for the widest margin of victory for an incoming underdog.

They won (52–17), the most significant point differential in Super Bowl history. The Broncos and the Seahawks finished the regular season with a 13–3 record.

8. New England Patriots

In 2015, the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28–24. As a result, the New England Patriots won their fourth Super Bowl title in Glendale, Arizona, at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

The Seahawks finished with a 12–4 record during the regular season, the same as the Patriots. At halftime, the teams were even at 14–14. The Seahawks went into the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead. The Patriots rallied late in the game to take a two-minute lead and won 28–24.

7. Denver Broncos

In a 24–10 win over the Carolina Panthers, the Denver Broncos triumphed. At Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the championship was decided on February 7, 2016.

A 15-1 regular-season record had put the Panthers in the Super Bowl for only the second time in Panthers history. The Broncos qualified for the Super Bowl with a regular-season record of 12–4. The Broncos jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

6. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34–28 in their season opener. On February 5, 2018, Houston's NRG Stadium hosted the 2018 Super Bowl. The Falcons built a 25-point lead over the Patriots in the third quarter after a rocky start.

The Patriots prevailed in overtime, winning the game 34–28, after an exciting fourth quarter. The Patriots won the Super Bowl for the first time following a comeback of 25 points, the most in game history.

5. Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles led the team to victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in an instant classic that smashed several Super Bowl records. Nick is one of few Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks.

It was a competitive game all night, but it wasn't until less than 10 minutes into the game that the Patriots took the lead. The Eagles came back to win the Super Bowl for the first time, 41-33, with nine seconds left in the game. The Eagles are Super Bowl winners by seed.

4. New England Patriots

At Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, February 3, 2019, the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13–3 in a defensive showdown. For the first time in the history of the Super Bowl, there was no overtime.

The Patriots and Rams played to a 3-3 tie in the fourth quarter. In order to secure victory for the Patriots, the team embarked on a 10-play scoring spree. For his efforts in this year's Super Bowl, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was named MVP.

The game was a rematch of Super Bowl XXXVI, which was the first Belichick-Brady Super Bowl championship. The Rams made their first appearance in the Super Bowl since moving back to Los Angeles from St. Louis in 2016. The Patriots are the highest-rated Super Bowl winners by franchise.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

At Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on February 2, 2020, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31–20. As a result, the Chiefs are one of the most recent Super Bowl winners by division.

They overcame a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit to prevail after coming back from a 10-point disadvantage in the AFC Championship Game against Tennessee and a 24-0 deficit against the Texans in the divisional round, respectively.

During the game, there were a few memorable moments. Despite throwing two interceptions, Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs' MVP-winning quarterback, was able to complete two touchdown passes and add a fourth on the ground.

For the first time since the AFL–NFL merger, the Kansas City Chiefs had won a Super Bowl. Andy Reid is one of the Super Bowl winning coaches.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In 2021, the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl. Second Vince Lombardi Trophy in as many championship games: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in the Super Bowl LV final on February 7, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

This year's Super Bowl champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were led by 68-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady won his sixth Super Bowl and his first title away from the New England Patriots with this triumph.

That was Brady's record-tying fifth game-winning MVP award. One of many quarterbacks to be both the Super Bowl winner and MVP. After leading the team to its first victory in five decades in 2021, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered his first career defeat by a margin of more than 10 points.

1. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams were the Super Bowl winners in 2022. At this Super Bowl LVI, a slew of historic firsts occurred. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, hosted Super Bowl LVI on February 13, 2022, making it the first time since 1993 that the Big Game had been held in LA.

The Rams, who upset the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20, won their first Super Bowl title since moving to Los Angeles. Sean McVay became the youngest head coach to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy when he led the Rams to victory in the Super Bowl at 36.

For the second time in Super Bowl history, a team hosted the championship game at their stadium. Only eight other wide receivers have been honoured with the title of Super Bowl MVP.

The Super Bowl winners are the winners of the end season championship game. Since 2022, the game is played on the second Sunday in February. The Super Bowl is a game between the two very best football teams of the season and was started in 1966.
