History

Boston Celtics is a professional basketball club from Boston, Massachusetts. They are members of the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division of the National Basketball Association (NBA). It is owned by Boston Basketball Partners, LLC, which was founded in 1946 and was one of only eight NBA teams to survive the league's first ten years out of 23 total clubs.

On 17th May 2022, the Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics 118-107 in Game 1 of the 2022 Eastern Conference finals. The Heat had two very different halves. In the third quarter, they woke up and stormed back from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat the team and win the game.

Jimmy Butler helped the Heat win with 41 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, and Tyler Herro scored 18 points off the bench. Boston's Jayson Tatum and his team had a hard time because Miami's defense got more challenging in the second half. At the end of the game, Tatum had 29 points, 21 of which came in the first half.

Jaylen Brown also scored 24 points. Boston missed Marcus Smart (out with a foot injury) and Al Horford (out in COVID health and safety protocols) on both ends of the court. Horford could miss Game 2 because of the league's rules, but there's hope that Smart could return from his right foot sprain in time.
