Format

The tournament happens over four days, with each pro in the field paired with an amateur during the first three days at PGA West's Dye Stadium Course. Each player gets one round in the first three days. After that, the top 65 proceed to the final round. At the end of the 72-hole event, the player with the lowest score wins the competition.

The PGA Tour America Express has had dozens of winners since 1960. Arnold Palmer was the first golfer to win it. He is also the most successful with five titles (1960, 1962, 1968, 1971, 1973).
