Handball World Championships start date
The event started on the 11th of January, 2023. The handball world championships’ venue is jointly hosted in Poland and Sweden. Thirty-two teams participated in the event, with a total of 112 games played.
The Preliminary round happened between the 11 the 17th of January 2023, with the main round happening between the 18th and the 23rd of January. A President’s cup happens between the 18th and the 25th of January. The President’s cup is a mini-tournament for the eliminated teams in the preliminary round.

The quarter-finals happened on the 25th of January, with the semi-finals happening on the 27th of January. The fifth to eighth-place playoffs happened between the 27th and 29th. The third-place game happened on the same day as the final.
The handball world championships’ end date was the 29th of January 2023, when the final was played between Denmark and France, and Denmark managed to retain the title.
