The athlete joined Tottenham after leaving Leeds, and on 18 March 2006, he scored his first Premier League goal in Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Birmingham City at St. Andrew's. On 23 January 2018, footballer Lennon committed to Premier League Burnley for two and a half years for an unknown sum. He played against Newcastle in a match that finished in a 1-1 tie. He made 55 appearances before leaving the team in June 2020 after his contract expired.

The winger joined Süper Lig club Kayserispor on 2 September 2020 on a free transfer. On 25 August 2021, Lennon returned to Burnley after his contract with Kayserispor expired. Lennon made his second debut against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup the same day. Lennon's contract at Burnley expired at the end of June, and the club announced on 10 June that he would leave.
