Tite is the Brazilian football manager Adenor Leonardo Bacchi. He is best known by the nickname Tite. He has managed and played for major clubs. Brazilian icon, Tite, is currently in charge of the Brazil national team in the 2022 World Cup. He hit worldwide footballing headlines during his time with Corinthians.

Adenor managed Corinthians from 2004 to 2005 and from 2010 to 2013. During his tenure at Corinthians, he won the Copa Libertadores and a second FIFA Club World Cup. Tite's family and early life

He was born on 25 May 1961 in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. Tite and his wife, Rosmari, have a son, Matheus, who also plays football and a daughter. He professes the Roman Catholic faith.

At school, he studied physical activities beneath Luiz Felipe Scolari, who went on to serve as his mentor. Adenor holds a bachelor's degree in physical education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas.

Tite’s playing club career

In 1978, he started as a player for Caxias. He joins Esportivo de Bento Gonçalves in 1984. He played for Portuguesa in 1985. He played with Guarani from 1986 to 1988, earning the most accolades in his playing career.

He was a member of the Guarani squad that finished second in the 1986 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the 1987 Copa Uniao, and the 1988 Sao Paulo State Championship. However, due to repeated knee problems that resulted in him losing mobility in one of his knees, his career was cut short at 27.

Tite’s coaching career

His first coaching role was with Guarani in 1990. He also coached Veranópolis between 1992 to 1995. Adenor went on to manage Ypiranga de Erechim in 1996 and Juventude in 1997 before returning to Veranopolis in 1998.

He returned to Caxias in 1999, but this time as a coach. He oversaw the club's surprise win in the Rio Grande do Sul state championship in 2000.

Grêmio signed him in 2001, where he helped the club win the 2001 Campeonato Gaucho. Under Tite's leadership, Grêmio won the 2001 Copa do Brasil, topping a respectable array of rivals in the tournament.

In 2003, he was appointed as manager at São Caetano and was tasked with ensuring that the club advance to the Copa Libertadores qualification round. Sao Caetano had a successful season, finishing in the fourth position in the league standings, thus qualifying for the Copa Libertadores. However, the club fired Adenor.

He also served as the head coach of Corinthians from 2004 to 2005 before moving to Palmeiras in 2006 and then to Al Ain in 2007.

He was signed to Sports Club Internacional in 2008. Adenor won the 2008 Copa Sudamericana with the club. He also helped Inter finish sixth in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A league.

Under his guidance, Inter defeated Grêmio to win the 2009 Campeonato Gaucho. The team further advanced to the 2009 Copa do Brasil finals. Internacional beat Japanese club Oita Trinita to clinch the 2009 Suruga Bank Championship.

Tite's tenure at Corinthians

He returned to Corinthians after a brief tenure at Al-Wahda. At the time, Corinthians were on a downward trajectory with a 10-game losing streak.

He led Corinthians to a solid third finish after going unbeaten through the season's last games. Corinthians earned a spot in the 2011 Copa Libertadores first stage. He coached the Corinthians to their first-ever Libertadores win with an unbeaten record.

Has Tite won a World Cup?

He has not won a World Cup. However, he has won a club World Cup. After making it to the 2012 World Club Cup finals, Corinthians would play Chelsea FC, the European champions, with world-class players from John Terry, Chelsea's captain, and goalkeeping maestro Petr.

Although his team lacked talent and individual quality, it was tactically well-balanced and had a strong morale boost. Corinthians emerged victorious, granting the club its second World Club Cup victory and Tite his first.

Corinthians could have had a better year in 2013. The team struggled in the League, lost the league Cup, and was eliminated from the Libertadores Cup after trying vainly to preserve their championship.

Tite’s break from football
