Who did Gareth Southgate play for?

The England manager played for the club's youth team for several years before being promoted to Crystal Palace's first team in 1988. The former player participated in 152 league games from 1988 to 1995, scoring 15 goals.

He signed a 4-year contract to manage the England national team on November 30, 2016. In November 2021, he signed a contract until 2024. He is England's head coach at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, leading a team that includes Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, James Maddison, and others.
