The 2022 World Cup is here, and fans worldwide are excited to be part of the thrill. Over 1.2 million fans are expected in Qatar to support their teams, while the rest will be stuck to their screens to get all the action from the comfort of their houses. Here is a guide to where to watch the FIFA Club World Cup 2022, which will run from 20 November to 18 December 2022.

Thanks to technology, one can access all 64 games of the competition from anywhere around the world. Measures have been taken to ensure every person must have a piece of the action if they are unlucky to get to Qatar, where the tournament is hosted. World Cup

The FIFA Club World Cup, called the World Cup, is an International association football tournament contested by senior men's national teams who are members of the sport's global governing body, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). It has been held after every four years since its inauguration in 1930, where Uruguay was the first winner.

Why is it called the World Cup?

Initially, it was called 'Victory' but generally known as simply World Cup or Coupe du Monde. In 1946, it was renamed to honour FIFA President Jules Rimet, who passed a vote in 1929 to initiate the tournament.

Why is the World Cup held after every four years?

The most prestigious soccer competition has been held after every four years since its establishment, except during World War ll. This time difference allows qualification tournaments and playoffs among national teams to occur. Also, this allows the host country to prepare for the tournament's logistics and accommodate the millions of fans who would come in.

Matches will be broadcasted on different channels in India. They will be broadcasted on the new Sports 18 and Sports 18 HD for cable and set-top-box TV viewers. All games could also be streamed online on Jiocinema free of charge. All channels will broadcast in English and Hindi.

South African fans can enjoy the tournament in every language of their choice on South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) radio stations. StarSat will also broadcast live action, including a live studio build-up with match previews, team news, player news, and pre and post-match analysis.

The FIFA World Cup final is expected to be the most-watched match in the tournament. Every broadcasting channel and radio station will be at the forefront with its broadcasting to give fans all over the world non-stop action. Some TV channels to broadcast include FOX Sports (FOX and FS1 in English and Telemundo in Spanish), while you could live stream on Peacock, Fubo, Sling TV, and Vidgo.

Even though the Nigerian Super Eagles didn't qualify for the tournament, their fans will enthusiastically follow up the competition. Subscribers to Airtel TV can watch the matches, while the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) TV will broadcast them free of charge on their Facebook platform.

Where to watch the FIFA Club World Cup in Kenya

Kenyans will be included in the fun as they are set to enjoy all matches on different platforms in the country. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) has acquired free-to-air broadcasting rights. It will air 28 matches from the 64, which have been selected as follows: 18 group stage matches focusing on the five African teams in the tournament, four round-of-16 matches, two quarter-final matches, two semi-finals, third-place playoffs, and the finals. Also, 12 affiliate KBC radio stations will broadcast all 64 matches.

FIFA has granted Kenya rights for the first time to have a public viewing event for the 2022 World Cup competition. AFS International has partnered with Radio Africa Group and Media Max Network for the screening, which will take place from 20 November to 18 December. The media outlets will ensure the screening of 28 games in seven Fan Parks across the country. Different cities and towns where the screening will take place include Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Machakos, and Meru.

All the action will be broadcasted in the United States on the Fox Sports family of networks. They are the official English broadcasters for the tournament in the United States and the Fox Sports App. Also, all replays for every full match can be accessed free of charge on Tubi. Spanish broadcasts will air on Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock.

United Kingdom fans have been given the TV schedule for the tournament and have no excuse to miss even a single game. The BBC and ITV will broadcast all the games free of charge, with both free-to-air broadcasters splitting the fixtures evenly between themselves.

As of 2022, Brazil is the most successful country in the tournament, with five titles, and is also the only country to participate in every World Cup finals competition. Italy and Germany follow closely with four titles each, the closest to them being current champions France, Uruguay, and Argentina with two a piece.
