The Newark baller switched from soccer to basketball in high school at the Salesianum School in Delaware. He led his team to two state championships and played in the Nike EYBL. In 2015, he was named the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association's Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. He proceeded to Villanova University between 2015 and 2018, where he earned the following accolades:
