Anthony Joshua became a two-time heavyweight champion as he emphatically beat rival Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia to regain his belt on Saturday, December 7.
It was the perfect revenge for Joshua who had suffered a humiliation earlier in the year where he succumbed four times to Ruiz Jr.

The 30-year old Joshua looked comfortable for most of the match as he drew blood from Ruiz early enough with some well-coordinated jabs and right hands.
He cut his Mexican rival in the first round and did not look back from then.
On Ruiz’s part, he never looked like shaking his opponent as Joshua was able to keep him in range by quick movement on his back foot.
The first taste of success for Ruiz Jr came in the fourth round when he thrust an overhand right hand which hit home, and Joshua definitely felt the hit.
Joshua’s long-serving trainer Rob McCracken will be a proud one as his game plan to the Brit-Nigerian boxer looked to work perfectly against his much shorter and heavier rival.
Once the scores of of 118-110 and another of 119-109 were read out, it was clear that Joshua had finally redeemed himself , six months after losing to the same fierce rival.
