Former boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been touted to take on Deontay Wilder in a blockbuster clash by December 2023.
The British-Nigerian boxer has suggested that his potential fight with Wilder is ‘95 per cent done’ and should happen in December if everything goes as planned.
Reports indicate that plans are underway over a proposed tournament that would see Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on the same card.
AJ returned to winning ways after two years when he defeated Jermaine Franklin on April 1, having lost his two previous bouts to Usyk.

He has been heavily linked with a fight against former WBC World Champion Wilder and he confirms that it could happen in December. Joshua told Metro via Mail:
“From my experiences with Saudi, if they say they are going to do something, they are more than likely going to do it. So, that’s one end of it.
“And then you let the other guys do what they do. But as the man behind the scenes, it is important to start getting ready. In terms of it getting delivered, I honestly believe it is 95 percent there.”
Wilder claims Joshua is avoiding him
American boxer Deontay Wilder has suggested that Anthony Joshua and his team did everything possible to avoid a showdown with him.
Wilder also seems upset with boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, saying all was done to prevent a fight between him and Joshua from happening.

BoxingAnd Wilder, who lost his WBC heavyweight title to Tyson Fury, opened up that Joshua is doing everything to avoid a clash with him.

Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that the British boxer has fallen down the pecking order since his days as heavyweight champion, dropping to fifth.
Fury may not have got his fight with Oleksandr Usyk, but he has his hands full as he looks to defend his heavyweight title.
Fury is the current WBC Heavyweight champion and last defended his belt against Derek Chisora.
