According to The Sun, Yamak suffered a heart attack while in action against Hamza Wandera in his ninth professional bout on Saturday, May 14.

How Musa Yamak died

The publication claims Yamak took a heavy shot in the second round of the bout staged in Buergerhaus, near Munich.

The boxer is understood to have tried to come out for the third round but dropped unconscious onto the floor.

German outlet BILD reports medics rushed into the ring shortly after Yamak had collapsed in an effort to save him.

Paramedics are said to have later showed up at the event but were delayed by a charged crowd outside the arena.

While an ambulance was finally able to make its way to the venue, it was a little too late as Yamak was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Yamak started boxing professionally in 2017, with the most significant highlight of his career coming in 2021 when he won the WBFed International title.
