Boxing Legend Floyd Mayweather to Visit Nigeria as Big Reason Emerges

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather will on Friday, 6 May, land in Nigeria in his efforts in promoting the game in Africa ahead of his big boxing fight against Don Moore in Dubai on 14th.

The American former boxer was one of the best during his active career in the ring as he was undefeated in his 50 fights before he retired from the game.

This will be the first time that Floyd Mayweather will be visiting Africa, and organizers of this trip have also explained that the American will pay courtesy call to Sports Minister Sunday Dare.

According to the report on Guardian, Ken Anis who is a close ally to Floyd Mayweather explained that the American could also visit Lagos before moving out of Nigeria.

Who is Don Moore?

Don Moore was once Floyd Mayweather's sparring partner and had a 17-year career between 1999-2016, was unbeaten as a pro, as he won 18 fights, with 12 coming within the distance.

Mayweather gears up for his next big money fight, will compete on a helipad on top of a Dubai hotel

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is no stranger to exhibition fights which draws in big money, and his latest event is no different.

Mayweather will take on former sparring partner, Don Moore, on a helipad situated on top of the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. The top of the hotel is 700 feet above sea level.

The fight is also being billed as the world’s first Non-fungible Tokens (NFT’) sports event because the tickets are only available as NFT’s.

NFT’s are a form of Ethereum. Ethereum is a cryptocurrency, Currently tickets are being sold for 65 Ethereum which equates to £150 000 per ticket. The unique event will be billed as The Global Titan Fight Series and will also feature other big names on the card.
