Nigerian super athlete Tobi Amusan has stated emphatically that she is clean and has nothing to worried about after being charged with anti-doping violations by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

Tobi Amusan has put the name of Nigeria on the world's map considering her superb performances since last year winning many incredible medals for the West African nation.

In the allegation levied against Tobi Amusan, the AIU charged her with an alleged doping violation rule of missing three tests in the space of 12 months.

Amusan according to her statement on her official Instagram page and report on Brila, the 26-year-old disclosed that she will fight the charges against her.

Tobi Amusan reacts to allegation

“I intend to fight this charge and will have my case decided by a tribunal of 3 arbitrators before the start of next month’s World Championships.
“I am a CLEAN ATHLETE, and I am regularly; (maybe more than usual) tested by the AIU – I was tested within days of my third ‘missed test.’ I have FAITH that this will be resolved in my favour and that I will be competing at the World Championships in August.”

Amusan set the current world record for the women’s 100m hurdles of 12.12 seconds at last year’s World Athletics Championships.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how the World, Commonwealth, and African 100m Hurdles champion and record holder, Tobi Amusan, has reacted to her nomination for the World Athlete of the Year Award.

Amusan, who is having a sensational season, stunned the sporting world during the World Athletics Championships when she ran 12.12s at the semifinal stage in the Women’s Hurdles.

The 25-year-old is now the world record holder as she also set another at the Commonwealth Games when she won gold with a time of 12.20secs in the final.
